Product Review: Red Apple Lipstick Eyeshadow in Champagne and Lipgloss in Cabernet

Hello my lovely people. Today, I have a review of some Red Apple Lipstick products which is a brand based in Texas and is cruelty-free, gluten free and paraben free. Also, according to their site, they do not use any petroleum, animal bits, gluten, soy, dairy, corn, harsh chemicals or GMOs in their products.  Did I mention, they make everything in small batches, so you only receive the freshest products? Its basically everything you want, all rolled up into one. Intrigued? I was. But to find if their products were any good, I reached out to them and they kindly sent me some products to play with.

Packaging:

My products arrived in a white bubble padded envelope. At first glance, I was worried maybe the eyeshadow didn't survive. But as I pulled out the cutest drawstring bag from the envelope, I saw everything was in perfect condition. Everything was wrapped in green tissue paper to keep the products safe and secured.

Eyeshadow:
I requested the eyeshadow in the shade champagne. Its one of their best-selling eyeshadows and exactly the color I would wear on an everyday basis.

Here's what their website says about it:
Gluten Free Mineral Eye Shadow
Champagne is a gorgeous frosted taupe. This color is truly luxurious and blends beautifully, complementing any color you may choose to pair it with!
Champagne looks stunning when worn alone with just a hint of mascara. Great for daytime looks but also pairs perfectly with darker shades to create stunning dramatic looks.
My thoughts:

Color- The eyeshadow is very
subtle.  Its a sheer taupe color with some shimmer - perfect for inner corners or a highlight color. Overall, its very versatile - you easily wear this all over the lid, too! Just the perfect shade to give you something to make you look more awake. I think this could well for hooded eyes to if you want that appearance of depth.
Texture: The texture is very soft and blendable. It applied smoothly and held up well throughout the day. I didn't notice any creasing or fading when I used with a primer.

Amount of Product: 1.5 grams
Retail Price: $18.75

Lipgloss:
I picked a gloss in the shade Cabernet Kiss. It looks kinda scary but I like scary :)

Here's what their website says about it:
This new gloss formula by Red Apple Lipstick is designed to promote lip skin health. Cabernet Kiss is loaded with a fantastic, high quality, gluten free Vitamin E and Vitamin C, both incredibly beneficial to skin health.
Mint 2 Be glosses are smooth as satin. They are not sticky or tacky, which provides a lovely and polished shine.
Cabernet Kiss is a medium pigmented, super wine tinted gloss with a touch of spearmint. Cabernet Kiss will tint your lips the perfect red wine color. The cooling effect soothes chapped lips, and the black cherry color adds brilliant shine!
Natural spearmint freshens breath instantly, when applied

My thoughts:
Texture: The first thing I noticed was the texture. It was nothing like a lipgloss. It's medium-thick consistency but feels light weight.  It's not sticky or gooey ...just perfect. It has a slight minty feeling which isn't overwhelming. However, I'm just not a fan of the peppermint tingle.
Color: The color was not as dark as it looked in the container which was a little disappointing to me.  But it's still a nice plum color that I see a lot of women liking. Its very wearable, long lasting, and moisturizing.

Amount of Product: .25 oz Net wt.
Retail Price: $18.50

Overall, I think these are wonderful products, especially considering their benefits and quality. I would highly recommend giving Red Apple Lipstick Products a try!

  10. I've never heard of this brand but it looks nice! I like neutral colors like champagne(/taupe) and the formula of the gloss seems very appealing since I hate anything sticky. Thanks for the review!
